Tariff calculation and setting procedures in the heating sector were discussed at the seminar with the National RegulatorJuly 5, Kyiv – MDI, in the framework of the implementation of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (USAID Project), conducted a joint with the National Regulator seminar "Tariff calculation rules and tariff setting procedures in the heating sector set by the National Regulator for its licensees. New laws and outstanding issues". The seminar was attended by the staff of the National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission and heating companies of cities - partners of the USAID Project. Among other issues, seminar participants discussed the new Regulation on tariff setting (NECSRC’s Resolution #377), including: requirements to preparation and approval of annual plans; estimation of planned costs and profit to be included into tariffs on heat energy, its generation, transportation and supply, and district heating and centralized hot water supply service; one-tier and two-tier tariffs for heat energy and heating services; determination of costs for covering the utilities’s costs during tariff calculation, tariff setting and promulgation (as per the Law of Ukraine #626-VIII dated July 16, 2015).
MDI discusses investment programs in the heating, water and wastewater sectors with the National Regulator and representatives of utility companies of 17 partners of USAID ProjectJune 22, Kyiv – MDI, in the framework of the implementation of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (USAID Project), conducted a seminar "Investment Programs: sources of financing, specificities about accounting and taxation, improvement of the relevant normative and legal acts" for the staff of the National Regulator (National Energy and Communal Services Regulatory Commission) and representatives of heating and water and wastewater companies of 17 cities - partners of the USAID Project. The seminar was conducted with the aim to discuss the current status regarding the implementation of the investment programs as per the Regulator’s requirements. The seminar agenda also included: overview of the current laws and regulations governing investment programs in the heating and water and wastewater sectors (in particular, planning profit and investment programs in the new tariff caltulation and setting procedures for the National Regulator’s licensees); requirements to publish tariff information as required by the Law of Ukraine "On specificities about access to information in the electricity supply, natural gas supply, heating, and centralized hot water supply, centralized potable water supply"; drafts of Regulator’s resolutions on including heat energy losses into tariffs; etc.
Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved training and methodological materials of the Training Course "Basics of energy supply and energy saving" developed by MDITraining and methodological materials of the training course "Basics of energy supply and energy saving" (consisting of the course curriculum and the Manual) were considered by the Science and Methodology Board of the Institute for Modernization of Education within the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and approved for the use in secondary schools of Ukraine. The training course was designed for the purpose of educating a conscious and responsible future consumer of heat and electric energy who understands the problems energy suppliers face and consumes energy efficiently. The training course will be implemented during the academic year 2016-2017 in the framework of the 4th Wave of the Energy Efficient Schools Project.
Award ceremony for winners and participants of the school contest on energy saving held in Kyiv in the framework of the USAID Project June 7, 2016, Kyiv - A Final Conference and award ceremony for winners and participants of the school contest on energy saving was held in the framework of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project.
The contest was conducted during the period of February 29 - April 28, 2016, by 78 schools of 16 USAID Project partner cities: Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kramatorsk, Kriviy Rig, Lutsk, Lviv, Rivne, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv (5 schools from each city); Dnipro, Sumy and Ternopil (4 schools from each city); and Pavlohrad (6 schools). Average reduction of consumption of electric energy (by one student and by one working hour) during the contest period was 17.8% as compared with the baseline period. During two months of the contest for reduction of power consumption Ukrainian school students reduced power consumption by almost 20%During the period of February 29 - April 28, 2016, MDI, in the framework of implementation of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (USAID Project), conducted the contest for reduction of power consumption at 78 Ukrainian schools of USAID Project partner cities. These schools were of Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kramatorsk, Kriviy Rig, Lutsk, Lviv, Rivne, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv - 5 schools in each city; Dnipro, Sumy, Ternopil - 4 schools in each city; 6 schools of Pavlohrad. During the contest period, the participating schools saved over 41000 kilowatt of electric energy, or 78 901 gryvnya. The most successful contest participants are the schools of Kamianets-Podilskyi (33.5% of reduction of net consumption) and Khmelnytskyi (20.5% of reduction of net consumption). 78 schools successfully completed the contest for reduction of power consumptionOn May 23, 2016, MDI participated in the contest working group meeting and discussed the contest and determined the winners of the contest on reduction of power consumption and winners of the contest of creative works by school students. During the contest period (February 29 - April 28, 2016), 78 schools managed to save 41 368 kilowatt of electric energy, with average reduction of consumption by 17.8%. The contest working group considered not only reduction of net consumption of electric energy per one student during school working hours but also the information campaigns conducted by the participating schools and implementation of energy efficiency measures. 16 schools won the contest (Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kramatorsk, Kriviy Rig, Lutsk, Lviv, Pavlohrad, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv). The Final Conference on the contest and award ceremony for the winners will be held in Kyiv on June 7.
Tariff calculation and setting procedures in the sector of centralized water supply and wastewater services were discussed at the seminar at the NECSRC
April 26, 2016, Kyiv - Municipal Development Institute, in the framework of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (USAID Project) and jointly with the National Energy and Communal Services Regulatory Commission (NECSRC), conducted a seminar "Tariff calculation and setting procedures in the sector of centralized water supply and wastewater services. New legislation and outstanding issues" for the NECSRC and licensees. The seminar was attended by 58 participants, including 33 representatives of water and wastewater companies - licensees of the NECSRC - of 17 USAID Project partner cities. The seminar agenda focused on the key requirements of NECSRC decrees on approval of tariff setting rules in the centralized water supply and wastewater sector and Procedures for setting of tariffs for water supply and wastewater. These procedures are important since starting from January 1, 2016, the requirements of the GOU Decree "On the common approach to tariffs for housing and communal services" won’t be applicable to the NECSRC’s licensees. The NECSRC developed three new tariff calculation and setting rules and procedures for the licensees operating in the centralized water supply and wastewater sector.

In the framework of establishment of the NZEB Knowledge Hub in Ukraine MDI jointly with Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture conducted a joint conference "EnergyIntegration-2016" April 13-15, 2016, Kyiv - MDI and Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA), with support from the Kyiv Representation of the Academy of Sciences of Poland, conducted the Sixth International Conference "EnergyIntegration-2016". Integrated Energy Efficient Solutions in the Construction Sector and Architecture". The Conference was organized in the framework of implementation of the EC Project "Train-to-NZEB: The Building Knowledge Hubs". The Conference was organized to discuss problems of energy and resource saving, alternative energy sources in architecture and construction and related sectors. The Conference was supprted by two ministries (Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine and Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine); State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine; sector associations; special web-platform "Build Portal" as main media partner. The Conference was attended by 130 participants, including: construction sector workers, construction sector professionals and leading specialists, and decision-makers.
MDI to assess the effectiveness of the national "warm loans" programMDI, upon request of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine and under the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project, conducts the survey of homeowners associations (OSBB in Ukrainian) and Housing Building Cooperatives (ZhBK in Ukrainian) and households which participation in the national "warm loans" program. The goal of the survey is to ensure effective management of the "warm loans" program and attaining the goals of the program based on the profound analysis of resource consumption by Ukraine’s population. MDI continues trainings for Clean Energy Homeowners Associations Advisory Centres established with assistance from the USAID ProjectMarch 24-25, 2016, Kyiv - MDI, under the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine (MER) Project, conducted 2nd seminar for Clean Energy Homeowners Associations Advisory Centres. The seminar was attended by over 60 representatives of CE HOA Advisory Centres of 12 cities - partners of the MER Project. On March 24, seminar participants exchanged experience and best practices regarding creation of HOAs in multi-family residential buildings, HOA operations, cooperation with "Tviy Dim" (Your Home) MER Project TV Program on UA One Channel. MDI presented four CE demonstration projects prepared by the USAID Project specialists for HOA buildings. The CE demonstration projects proposed for seminar participants included: 1) Modernization of the vertical heating system into horizontal (including four possible reconstruction solutions); 2) "Air - water" heat pumps for warming water in the hot water supply system; 3) Solar collectors for warming water in the hot water supply system; 4) Photoelectric solar elements for lighting of staircases in a building and adjacent territory. MDI discussed customer relations and creating the image of a service provider with the National Regulator and its licenseesOn March 23, 2016, MDI, in the framework of implementation of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project, conducted a workshop for the National Energy and Utiltiies Regulation Commission and Commission’s licenssees - water and sanitation and heating companies of USAID Project’s 17 partner cities. The workshop focused on relations with customers and on creation of the image of a service provider. The workshop was organized to facilitate partnerships between customers and service providers by means of improving awareness of the latter of socio-psychological aspects regarding information dissemination and effective communication with various groups of customers, including debtors; creating and maintaining a positive image of a service provider; improving of public speaking skills; etc.
MDI discussed with the National Regulator the subjects of rent, concession and municipal asset managementOn March 15, 2016, MDI, in the framework of implementation of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project, conducted a workshop for the National Energy and Utiltiies Regulation Commission and Commission’s licenssees. The workshop focused on legal, accounting and regulatory issues regarding rent, concession, and municipal asset management and theimpact of this issues on tariff setting and economic activities of licensees. The workshop was attended by 49 participants - staff of the National Commission, Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, and Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine, local self-governments of 17 USAID Project’s partner cities, and licensees of the National Commission.
MDI will contribute to corporate development of Lutsk Heating Company "Lutskteplo" March 1, 2016, Lutsk - Municipal Development Institute joined the Corporate Development Consultant Egis International (France) in the kick-off meeting with Lutsk Heating Company "Lutskteplo", Lutsk City Council and EBRD in the framework of the EBRD Project "Reconstruction of the district heating system of Lutsk". The Project is supported by EBRD and Lutsk City Council. “Lutskteplo” jointly with EBRD and E5P is implementing modernization of the heating system of Lutsk. The Company has signed a loan agreement for 10 million and a grant agreement for 4 million euro. The Company will implement a series of activities, including elimination of basement boilers, modernization of equipment, installation of over 200 individual heating substations, and installation of bio-boilers.
In the framework of the Corporate Development Program for "Lutskteplo", Egis and MDI during two years will provide assistance to "Lutskteplo" to improve financial and operational performance, develop a Plan of Actions and a work program FOPIP, build the Company’s capacity, develop a public service contract, etc.
A NZEB Training Centre to be established in KyivFebruary 15, 2016, Buharest, Romania - MDI participated in the 2nd meeting of the Project "Train-to-NZEB: The Building Knowledge Hubs". The Project is financed by the European Commission and implemented by 12 implemeting partners of 6 countries, one of which is MDI in Ukraine. In Myrhorod heat energy produced from straw will help save UAH 2 million for the municipality annually On October27, in Myrhorod, the opening cetremony at the reconstructed boiler house (8, Spartakivsky Prov.) and central storage facility (80, Shishatska Str.) was held. In the framework of execution of the USAID Project "Local Alternative Energy Solutions in Myrhorod", five obsolete gas-fired boilers were removed and three modern efficient gas-fired boilers and a 1 megawatt multi-fuel bio-boiler (on straw, wood chips, pellets) installed at the boiler house. It is expected that about 600 thousand m3 of natural gas will be saved annually. This means that Poltava Oblast will save UAH 2 million annually. During the heating season of 2015-2016, the reconstructed boiler house will supply heat energy for ten multi-family residential buildings, one school, one kindergarten, and one commercial consumer. The bio-boiler will use straw for production of heat energy; gas-fired boilers will be used for peak periods. 2000 tons of straw bales will be stored at the central storage facility. The storage facility (1980m2) is located on the territory of the Myrhrorod Utility Company "Spetscomuntrans" and includes the reconstructed existing storage building and two annexes attached to the existing building. The weekly stock of straw will be transported to the operating storage faciluity located on the territory of the pilot boiler house. The MAZ truck with the semitrailer will deliver straw bales to the operating storage facility. The telescopic loader will be used for loading/unloading straw.
31 Energy efficient street lapms installed in one of the Kyiv districts under the DTEK project implemented by MDI Kyiv, October 12, 2015 - 31 new energy effcient street lamps were installed in one of the Kyiv districts - Troieschina. The works were executed under Phase 1 of the social project of KYIVENERGO "Energy efficient night Kyiv" that is financed by DTEK and implemented by MDI. LED street lamps were installed in locations identified/specified by local residents. On October 12, the results of Phase 1 of the project were presented to the Troieschina residents and Head of the Kyiv Oblast State Administration V. Klichko. The presentation was held in the yard between a school and a kindergarten. This place was considered dangerous in the evening and locals took roundabouts since this location was not illuminated. It is anticipated that Phases 1 and 2 of the project will result in about 9000 KW hours saved annually.
Lutsk SEAP was approved on the special session of Lutsk City CouncilOn October 6, Lutsk Sustainable Energy Action Plan for the period of 2012-2025 was approved at the special session of Lutsk City Council. This decision was approved by 35 deputies of 36 present at the session. MDI, under the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project, provided assistance to Lutsk City Council regarding revision of Lutsk SEAP. MDI delivered a seminar on unbundling accounting by type of licensed activity in the heating sector for the staff of the National RegulatorOn September 10, MDI, the co-implementer of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine (MER) Project, delivered a seminar on unbundling accounting by type of licensed activity in the heating sector for staff of the Department for Regulation of Relations in the Heating Sector of the National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission. The seminar focused on regulation in the heating sector, in partticular, depreciation and repair costs as stipulated by GOU decree 869, Tax Code of Ukraine and accounting rules.
MDI is part of the Asset Valuation Working Group of the State Property Fund of Ukraine MDI, as the co-implementer of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine (MER) Project, is part of the Asset Valuation Working Group that was established at the State Property Fund of Ukraine to prepare the draft of changes to the Methodology for valuation of assets of natural monopolies and entities operating in adjacent markets and delaing with co-generation (Order #293 of the State Property Fund of Ukraine dated March 12, 2013). MDI proposed certain changes to the Asset Valuation Methodology. It is anticipated that these proposals will be tested during asset valuations of pilot utilities (heat energy transportation, centralized water and wastewater).Members of the working group include: representatives of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission, GIZ, Dnipropetrovsk Water and Wastewater Company, and USAID MER Project (represented by MDI).
Public Forum conducted in Myrhorod to discuss production of heat energy from biomass in municipal district heating systems On August 5, in Myrhorod, MDI conducted a public forum to discuss production of heat energy from biomass in the district heating system of Myrhorod and substitution of natural gas with alternative and renewable sources of energy and bioenergy development.In attendance of the forum were local authrities, local council deputies, representatives of utility companies and building companies engaged into execution of works under the LAESM Project, heads of street and building committees, public activists (50 persons). The participants of the forum were asked to respond to three questions regarding substitution of natural gas with alternative and renewable sources of energy in Ukraine (81% of supporters at the beginning of the Forum and 89% at the end of the Forum) and in Myrhorod (76% and 87% respectively). The third question was about their expectations from the reconstruction of the pilot gas-fired boiler house in Myrhorod, and installation of three new gas boilers and a bio-boiler (positive expectations were articulated by 72% of forum participants at the beginning of the forum and 85% at the end of the forum).
Information Campaign on Bioenergy Development in Myrhorod In the framework of the Information and Outreach Campaign on Bioenergy Development and substitution of natural gas with alternative sources of energy in municipal heating systems under the USAID Project "Local Aletrnative Energy Solutions in Myrhorod" posters were placed on several bigboards in Myrhorod. Residents of Myrhorod discussed bioenergy development Myrhorod, July 27, 2015: MDI, in the framework of the USAID Project "Local Alternative Energy Solutions in Myrhorod", conducted two focus groups in Myrhorod. Representatives of Building and Street Committees and active resident population communicated their ideas and views on substitution of natural gas with local alternative fuels. They said it is impossible to refuse from natural gas completely but emphasized on the need in substitution natural gas with alternative fuels and articulated their support to the government in its transition to alternative and renewable sources of energy.
Vinnytsia to reduce energy consumption by UAH 325,5 million till 2020 Vinnytsia, July 6, 2015 - Expanded meeting of the Working Group on SEAP Development was held in Vinnytsia City Council and focused on Vinnytsia SEAP revised and updated by Municipal Development Institute in the framework of implementation of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (MERP).The Working Group meeting was attended by 49 persons, including the Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia I. Korolchuk and representatives of relevant departments and divisions of Vinnytsia City Council, utility companies, and general public.Meeting participants discussed main municipal production sectors and energy concumption per sector, baseline of CO2 emissions and proposed actions to reduce CO2 emissions, sources of financing of the proposed investment projects, and expected results from SEAP implementation.
Representatives of USAID MERP partner cities learned on how to organize a successful public hearing
Kyiv, June 17, 2015 - Representatives of partner cities of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine (MER) Project gathered at the workshop "Public hearings on municipal energy development". The workshop was organized to familiarize the audience with public hearing as an effective tool for making public participate in decision making on municipal energy planning and development, Information Campaign in media and information dissemination in social networks, specific issues relative public hearings on Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs), etc. In attendance of the workshop were over 20 representatives of departments and divisions dealing with housing and utility services and public relations of Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv, Sumy, Ternopil, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Lutsk, Vinnytsia, Kramatorsk, Kyiv, Lviv, and Kherson.Workshop participants received the Manual "Methodological Recommendations on Public Hearings on Sustainable Energy Action Plans". Informing building residents and HOAs on thermal modernization was discussed at the specialized workshop in Kamianets-Podilsky
Kamianets-Podilsky, May 14-15, 2015 - The last workshop “Thermal modernization of a building: informing building residents and HOA managers” in a series of thee specialized workshops for Clean Energy Condominium Advisory Centers of MERP pilot cities was delivered in the framework of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (MERP).The workshop focused on arguments and information tools on building retrofit to be disseminated to building residents and HOA managers; activities of HOAs on Facebook and other relevant portals for/visited by HOAs. Workshop agenda also included presentations from representatives of HOAs on relevant municipal programs in their cities, analysis of strong and weak points of the presentations, and enhancing presentation skills for HOAs. A separate part of the workshop – Round Table on “Attracting of financing for energy efficiency measures: best practices and opportunities for HOAs” – was conducted jointly with Kamianets-Podilsky City Council.The workshop was attended by 45 participants who represented 11 Condominium Advisory Centers (Lutsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kamianets-Podilsky, Khmelnytsky, Kherson, Kramatorsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Pavlohrad, Sumy, Vinnytsia); 12 city councils; and EE equipment and materials producers such as: Danfoss, Henkel, Veka Ukraina, REHAU.
Clean Energy Project Proposal Manual presented in Kamianets-PodilskyKamianets-Podilsky, April 7-8, 2015 - Clean Energy Project Proposal Manual was presented to participants of the workshop on development of clean energy projects and identification of sources of financing as a pre-condition of CE project success. The workshop was delivered for partner cities of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project. The Project Proposal Manual covers the entire range of issues relative development of clean energy projects under a Sustainable Energy Action Plan – starting from setting a problem and ending with preparation of a feasibility study, Environmental Impact Assessment, and search for the reliable sources of financing, with application of modern methods and tools in each activity. The Manual will be a useful source of information/advice for those entities willing to reduce carbon dioxide emissions through SEAP development and implementation as a very important contribution to Ukraine’s energy independence and prevention of the global climate change. Training on efficient communication and information dissemination for Condominium and Clean Energy Advisory CentersKyiv, March 17-18, 2015 - MDI specialists, in the framework of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform Project (MERP) in Ukraine, conducted the first training seminar on information activities for personnel of the Condominium and Clean Energy Resource Centers. 29 representatives of the Resource Centers from Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Kramatorsk, Kyiv, Lutsk, Lviv, Pavlohrad, Sumy, Vinnytsia, and Zaporizhia participated in this event. During two days, participants of the seminar were mastering the skills of efficient communication and consulting for representatives of the different target audiences: residents of multi-apartment buildings, journalists, officials etc. The following topics were considered at the seminar: energy efficiency in multi-apartment buildings, social safety nets, housing and communal programs, investments and business planning, public relations, legal and regulatory issues of condominium establishment and management, etc. Next training seminar will take place at the end of April in Dnipropetrovsk, and the third concluding seminar – in May, in Kamianets-Podilskyi. Represenatives of Oblast Departments for Social Protection of Population learn about the new simplified program of subsidiesKyiv, March 12, 2015 -Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, with assistance from the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine Project (MERP), and Municipal Development Institute conducted a seminar “New Mechanisms and Opportunities for Providing Subsidies to Pay for Housing and Communal Services” to discuss the new simplified program of subsidies to pay for housing and communal services under increasing prices and energy carriers and tariffs for services, organization of work of departments for social protection of population, as well as the new approach regarding obtaining data and taking income into account to award a subsidy. MDI jointly with Bank LVIV conducted a workshop on residential EE improvements for Condominium Advisory Centers of five Ukrainian citiesLviv, February 20, 2015 - Municipal Development Institute, jointly with Bank LVIV, conducted a workshop "Implementation of energy efficiency projects in multi-family residential buildings: technical, financial, organizational and legal aspects" for Condominium Advisory Centers and local authorities of five partner cities of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine (MER) Project (Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil). The workshop was organized to present the advantages of the USAID Development Credit Authority Loan Guarantee for commercial banks and homeowners associations, and to grow demand for commercial lending from Bank LVIV. The workshop was focused on implementation of energy efficiency improvements in multi-family residential buildings with homeowners associations (starting from project identification, energy audit, and necessary calculations, and ending with project development and identification of potential sources of financing). The participants of the workshop learned that the USAID DCA Loan Guarantee facility allows a participating commercial bank to issue energy efficiency loans for a longer term - up to five years and that Bank LVIV was the pilot bank to join the facility. MDI will continue workshops in MERP pilot cities to raise awareness of local homeowners associations of the available EE project financing opportunities.
100 Kyiv schools learn to be energy efficient. MDI conducted an orientation workshop on the competition for efficient consumption of electric energy for representatives of the participating schoolsKyiv, January 28, 2015 - MDI conducted the orientation workshop on the competition for efficient consumption of electric energy. The competition will be conducted at 100 Kyiv schools during the period February 2, 2015 - April 2, 2015, in the framework of the DTEK Project “Energy Efficient Schools. Wave III”. The workshop was conducted to inform the participating schools about the competition, its terms and conditions, energy saving measures to be implemented at schools.In attendance of the workshop were 159 school principals, representatives of DTEK, representatives of the Department on Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Kyiv City State Administration, and project specialists.
MERP Team to help Ivano-Frankivsk to become the energy efficient municipalityIvano-Frankivsk, January 27, 2015 - Experts of the USAID Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine (MER) Project, following a corresponding request from Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, will contribute to preparation of the Information Campaign on Residential Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy. On January 27, MERP experts, including MDI consultants, visited Ivano-Frankivsk and met with the relevant staff of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council to discuss the actions and activities under the Information Campaign and to present the concept of the Information Campaign, including the educational program on energy efficiency at schools of Ivano-Frankivsk. MERP experts also gathered chairmen of boards of HOAs and representatives of initiative groups for a workshop “Residential energy efficiency improvements in multi-family residential buildings” (engineering, organizational and legal, and financial issues).
Municipal Development Institute implements the energy efficient street lighting project in KyivKyiv, January 2015: The Energy Efficient Night Kyiv Pilot Project is implemented in one of the districts of Kyiv.
